Worcester man arrested for allegedly stabbing ex-girlfriend to death

WORCESTER, Mass. — A Worcester man was arrested Friday night in connection to a fatal stabbing, police said.

Police were dispatched to 27 County Street at around 9:10 p.m. for a report of a stabbing.

At the scene, witnesses flagged down the responding officers, alerting them someone had been stabbed inside the home.

Antonio Lucas, 40, a resident of the home, was found by police leaving the property. He was detained while police entered and searched the home.

Inside, first responders found a woman suffering from stab wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Based on probable cause, detectives concluded Lucas had stabbed the victim, who police say he had previously dated.

Lucas was arrested for murder.
