WORCESTER, Mass. — A 35-year-old Worcester man has been arrested after police say he broke into a family’s home.
Just before 6 a.m. Friday, Worcester Police were called to a home on Hartshorn Road for a reported house break-in.
The people who live in the home told officers they work up and found a stranger sleeping on their couch. They yelled and the stranger woke up and took off.
The residents then realized their car keys and wallets were missing, and there were about 20 bags of what police say appeared to be crack cocaine and a crack pipe next to the couch where the man was sleeping.
Police located and arrested the suspect minutes later. He’s been identified as 35-year-old Shaun Perry of Worcester and charged with breaking and entering in the nighttime with intent to commit a felony, larceny from a building, and possession of a Class B substance.
