Victim in fatal Bridgewater hit-and-run identified as Northborough man

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. — The victim who died following an alleged hit-and-run in Bridgewater overnight Sunday has been identified as 34-year-old Ian Dalgliesh of Northborough, according to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office.

Police were called to the scene at Auburn and Summer streets in the town just after 12:30 a.m. Sunday, where Dalgliesh was found unconscious in the road. He was declared dead at the scene.

Preliminary investigation by the DA’s Office as well as state and local police has determined that Dalgliesh was hit by a car. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call local police at 508-697-6118 or state police at 508-894-2600.
