BARNSTABLE, Mass. — A trail near a popular Cape Cod beach was closed Wednesday morning after a camper burst into flames.
Photos shared by the Town of Barnstable showed a large camper engulfed in flames on a sandy ORV trail near Sandy Neck Beach.
The fire reduced the camper to a charred pile of rubble.
West Barnstable firefighters extinguished the flames and no injuries were reported.
Town officials say the trail will reopen at some point this afternoon.
