Resident transported, 3 people displaced following house fire in Franklin

FRANKLIN, Mass. — Three people are now without a home after a major house fire happened on Winter Street in Franklin Thursday night at approximately 10:15 p.m.

The Franklin Fire Department told Boston 25 they were alerted to the fire by a resident. The fire started at an elderly housing complex and affected three units, ultimately resulting in three residents displaced.

Officials added that one person was pulled from their unit by firefighters and taken to the hospital, but their injuries are still unknown at this time.

Firefighters report that the housing complex didn’t have sprinklers. The cause of the fire remains under investigation at this time.
