Driver charged with OUI after hitting a man with car in Dracut

DRACUT, Mass. — Police are investigating a crash that left a 61-year-old man in serious condition. Dracut Police responded to Lakeview Avenue Saturday night where a pedestrian was struck by a motor vehicle.

An officer on scene told Boston 25 News the victim has “serious” injuries and was rushed to Lowell General Hospital.

According to police, the driver of the motor vehicle, a Ford Taurus, did not stop after allegedly striking the man but instead drove further where she reportedly crashed again rendering the vehicle disabled.

The driver, Christina Digloria, 46 of Tyngsboro was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of alcohol and leaving the scene of a crash causing serious bodily injury.

Police said Digloria will be arraigned in Lowell District Court on Monday.
