UPDATE: Officials ID driver wanted for multiple hit-and-runs in Brookline

BROOKLINE, Mass. — Massachusetts State Police have identified the driver wanted for multiple hit-and-runs out of Brookline, Monday evening.

46-year-old Suzanne Amer, from Boston, was was transported to Boston Medical Center for evaluation, according to Brookline Police.

A “request for immediate threat of license suspension/revocation” form was filed with the RMV requesting the revocation of Ms. Amer’s license.

She is not in police custody at this time, but will be summonsed to Brookline District Court for multiple charges, including assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, leaving the scene of a personal injury crash. Additional charges may be added.

Earlier in the day, Brookline Police announced that they were searching for a driver who committed three hit-and-run accidents in an hour on Monday morning.

The first accident involved a crash between the suspect’s Jetta and another car on Memorial Drive in Cambridge around 9:00 a.m.

A short time later, the Jetta struck a 63-year-old man on Pleasant Street in Brookline after aggressively beeping at him. The man was transported to a local hospital with non life threatening injuries. He is currently at home recuperating.

Amer then beeped at and backed into another car on Harvard Street in Brookline shortly thereafter. There were no injuries reported in this crash but there was minor property damage.

The case remains under investigation according to Brookline Police.
