Mother, son, man from Worcester found dead in Connecticut home

BROOKLYN, Conn. — A young boy, his mother, and a man from Worcester were found dead in a home in Brooklyn, Connecticut, earlier this week, authorities said.

Officers responding to a report of a suspicious incident at a home on Middle Street around 8:30 p.m. on Valentine’s Day found three people dead inside, according to Connecticut State Police.

The three individuals were identified as 3-year-old Emanual Perez, 33-year-old Lury Pizarro, and 32-year-old Jose Perez.

Lury Pizarro’s stepfather, Danel Mendez told Boston 25 News that he believes the deaths of his daughter and grandson are the end result of a domestic violence situation.

“It’s really hard for us to deal with it. Our only grandson and my oldest daughter... It’s really hard,” Mendez managed to say through tears. “She’s a wonderful daughter. A wonderful, wonderful mother. And everybody got along with her. Shes a great, great person.”

Connecticut State Police noted that the deaths appear to be isolated incidents and that there were no threats to the public.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Detective Ethan Tanksley at ethan.tanksley@ct.gov.

The Eastern District Major Crime Squad is investigating the deaths.
