MBTA to run special commuter rail trains to Gillette Stadium concerts this summer

FOXBORO, Mass — Concertgoers traveling to Gillette Stadium this summer won’t have to bear the drive down Route 1. Instead, they’ll have the option to kick their feet up and ride the rails.

The MBTA announced Thursday it will operate special event commuter rail trains from Boston and Providence for several concerts at Gillette Stadium this summer.

The following shows will receive the special event trains:

· Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour (May 19*, 20 & 21)

*Boston only

· Ed Sheeran’s + - = ÷ x Tour (July 1)

-There will be no special event train service available for the Friday, June 30 show.

· Luke Combs 2023 World Tour (July 22)

· Beyoncé Renaissance World Tour (Aug. 1)*

*Boston only

· Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band 2023 Tour (Aug. 24)*

*Boston only

· Billy Joel & Stevie Nicks (Sept. 23)

The Boston event trains will depart from South Station and make stops at Back Bay and Dedham Corporate Center before arriving at the Foxboro Station. The Providence trains will depart from Providence Station and make stops in Attleboro and Mansfield at Foxboro Station.

Train tickets will go on sale two weeks before each show. Tickets will be sold separately. Regular Commuter Rail tickets will not be accepted.
