Mass General welcomes Boston’s first baby of 2026

BOSTON — Mass General Hospital proudly welcomed the first baby born in Boston in 2026.

Baby boy Benjamin “Bengi” Robert Kelland arrived at 12:19 a.m. on New Year’s Day, weighing 7 lbs., 4 oz. and measuring 20 ½ inches long.

He was born to Robert and Chloe Kelland of Waltham.

Both mother and baby are reported to be doing well.
