BOSTON — The 4th of July falls on a Monday in 2022, and that means cities and towns across Massachusetts are preparing for fireworks displays over various days on Friday, July 1, Saturday, July 2, Sunday, July 3, and Monday, July 4th.

The annual Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular returns to the Hatch Shell along the Charles River Esplanade for the first time since 2019.

The program will take place under the direction of conductor Keith Lockhart from the stage of the Hatch Memorial Shell on Monday, July 4, 8-11 p.m.
