Atlantic Wharf Summer Bash in Boston
Kick off August at Atlantic Wharf’s Summer Bash on Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon.
The family-friendly event will feature live music, arts and crafts activities for kids, and dragon boat paddle rides on Fort Point Channel. Atlantic Wharf is located at 280 Congress St. in Boston.
Salem celebrates Heritage Days and 400th anniversary
Salem will mark both America’s 250th birthday and the city’s 400th anniversary with the Salem Heritage Days Parade and Festival on Saturday.
The parade begins at 10 a.m. at Salem State University’s O’Keefe Center and is expected to conclude around 11:30 a.m. at Salem Maritime National Historical Park.
Festival activities continue along the waterfront until 6 p.m., featuring a cardboard boat regatta, live entertainment, food trucks, and opportunities to board a tall ship.
Worcester African Festival returns
The Worcester African Festival will take place Saturday from noon to 8:30 p.m. at the Worcester Common Oval.
The annual event draws thousands of visitors and showcases African culture through music, food, artwork, fashion, and performances. Games and activities for all ages will also be available throughout the day.
