MANSFIELD, Mass. — Mansfield emergency crews were called to a home on fire on Stearns Avenue just before 2 a.m. Tuesday.
Crews arrived and found a fire in a second-floor bedroom. Everyone in the home made it out safely.
Firefighters were able to quickly knock down the fire and began investigating.
Officials say they discovered chemicals and related items in the home were being used to manufacture methamphetamine. The state hazmat team was called in for assistance.
Police arrested 48-year-old Robert Triggs, who will be arraigned on possession with intent to manufacture methamphetamine, possession of a Class B narcotic, possession of a Class E narcotic and drug violation near a school.
