MANCHESTER, Mass. — A Manchester man was seriously hurt and is now facing a DWI charge following a single-vehicle crash late Monday night on I-93 in Manchester, New Hampshire.

According to New Hampshire State Police, around 10:50 p.m., troopers responded to a report of a crash on the I-93 northbound to I-293 northbound split in Manchester.

Witnesses told investigators the vehicle swerved before leaving the roadway.

The gray 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee traveled into a wooded area, coming to rest about 200 feet off the highway. Police said the SUV sustained extensive damage.

The driver, identified as Casey Fleming, 25, of Manchester, suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Following an investigation, State police arrested Fleming and charged him with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated (DWI).

One lane of the highway was closed for approximately 45 minutes while crews recovered the damaged Jeep.
