BOSTON — Authorities are investigating after multiple vehicles were damaged in a two-car crash that sent a truck careening into a Dorchester home.
Troopers responding to the area of Gallivan Boulevard at Oakridge Street just after 9 a.m. for a reported four-car crash found one of the vehicles had struck the house at 85 Gallivan, according to State Police.
A preliminary investigation shows a 2016 Ford F150, driven by a 63-year-old Dorchester man with a 63-year-old Dorchester woman for a passenger, and a 2018 Jeep Wrangler, driven by a 19-year-old Dedham man, crashed into each other.
The collision caused the F150 to veer off the road and strike the foundation of a house, and the Wrangler to strike two parked vehicles on Oakridge Street, a 2018 BMW X3 and a 2019 Honda Odyssey van, according to authorities.
The driver of the F150 was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
It is unclear if any charges will be filed.
Inspectors from the City of Boston responded to the scene to evaluate any structural damage done to the house.
