CLINTON, Mass. — Police are investigating after a deceased body was found by Clinton Police officers late Sunday night in a wooded area of the DCR Property around the Wachusett Reservoir, near the area off Grove Street.
At approximately 11 p.m., officers contacted the Massachusetts State Police and MSP Detectives assigned to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office to respond to the area. The Special State Police Investigators, MSP Crime Scene Services, the medical examiner’s office, and the Clinton Police Department conducted the preliminary investigation at the scene.
The Clinton Police Department told Boston 25 News they plan to wait to release the identity of the person until they have positive identification and can notify the family.
Officials also confirmed that after the preliminary investigation, it didn’t indicate any foul play. Also, detectives believe the case to be an isolated incident with no risk to the general public.
