NORFOLK, Mass. — Coffee with Candidates is back and giving our viewers a different perspective on the people asking for your vote. This 2022 political season, we turn our attention to the major state races playing out in Massachusetts. Boston 25 News Anchor Kerry Kavanaugh sat down with Republican candidate for governor and businessman, Chris Doughty.
They recently met up at Cilla’s Coffeehouse in Norfolk.
Doughty grew up in California and went to college in Utah. Harvard Business School brought him to Massachusetts. Doughty started a business in Massachusetts which is now an international auto parts manufacturer.
Doughty calls himself a ‘political outsider’ who isn’t chasing national headlines. He talked to Kavanaugh about his approach to tackling the crisis of affordability in Massachusetts. His plan centers around reigning in the cost of energy in the state. They also talked about one of his biggest personal challenges and how it shaped his candidacy. And why he is jumping into the public spotlight for the first time through this campaign.
