Child anxiety expert talks coping with back to school stress

BOSTON — Whether your kids are remote learning, in school or in a hybrid situation, there are unique stresses and concerns attached to each situation. We all need help coping.

We wanted to take a minute and connect with someone who can help us take a breath and give us some perspective on how to deal with everything swirling around us.

Boston 25 News Anchor Kerry Kavanaugh recently chatted with Donna Pincus, Ph.D. at the Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders at Boston University. She says now is a really important time to pay close attention to our families and ourselves.

Pincus added parents should really pay attention to changes in their kids' behavior. If they’re acting out, and it’s happening consistently, it might not just mean they’re having a bad day. That could be an indicator of depression.
