BOSTON — Boston Celtics F Jaylen Brown will miss the remainder of the 2020-21 season due to a torn scapholunate in his left wrist, the team announced on Monday evening.

Brown is expected to have surgery later this week to repair the torn wrist ligament.
Brown was named an All-Star for the first time in his five-year career this season while averaging a career-high 24.7 points per game as a 24-year-old. The Georgia native also had career highs this season in minutes per game (34.5), field goals per game (9.3), field goal percentage (.484), 3-point percentage (.397), free throw percentage (.764), assists per game (3.4), steals per game (1.2) and blocks per game (0.6).
Brown was inactive the last three games, with his final game this season coming back on May 2 against the Portland Trailblazers.
