BOSTON — A Boston Police sergeant was arrested on Wednesday by a Massachuetts State Police trooper for allegedly operating under the influence of alcohol following a single-car crash in Boston.
Boston Police Sergeant Patrick Bryne was allegedly involved in a single-car crash, which resulted in his arrest on August 11.
“The Boston Police Department works tirelessly to build a reputation of serving with honor, integrity, and service to our residents. The BPD holds its officers to the highest standards and takes this matter seriously. This arrest does not diminish the hard work of the men and women of the Boston Police Department,” Superintendent-in-Chief Gregory Long said.
The Boston Police Department told Boston 25 Byrne was placed on administrative duty. There are no further details released in regards to this case as the investigation is still ongoing.
