Boston caterer wins Gordon Ramsay’s ‘Feed Your Dreams’ contest

BOSTON — A catering business based in Boston’s Roxbury neighborhood that specializes in southern soul food has emerged victorious in Gordon Ramsay’s “Feed Your Dreams” contest.

Southern Twist Catering was named one of three finalists for the contest, along with Carl’s Diner in Oxford and Pineiro’s Kitchen and Café in Lawrence.

Southern Twist edged out Carl’s and Pineiro’s in a vote after all three eateries joined Boston 25 Morning News live on Friday to showcase their businesses.

As a winner of the contest, Shonda Little of Southern Twist was awarded $2,500 to help fund her business.

“Thank you! It’s so amazing. I thank you, everybody, who came in, ate the food, and gave me feedback,” Little told Boston 25. “I’m so floored...I’m so taken aback. I’m so grateful to have been able to enter this contest.”

Little says she plans to use the winnings to find an affordable location to move her business into.

The contest was made available to local eateries thanks to Fox’s new show, “Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars”, which premiered on May 24.
