Boston 25 High School GameDay Game of the Week: Duxbury at Hingham

HINGHAM, Mass. — What a busy sports night in Boston! It wouldn’t feel complete without Boston 25′s High School GameDay Game of the Week: Duxbury Dragons taking on the Hingham Harbormen.

It’s Senior Night in Hingham, and Henry Crean and Owen Hart for the game.

Duxbury’s offense came out quickly. Matt Festa with a great throw to Brady Madigan for the touchdown in the back of the end zone, leading the Dragons with 7-0.

We go to the 2nd quarter with Festa to Madigan again for the touchdown 21-0 Duxbury. Later in the 2nd, Hingham responds, and Dylan Pierce finds Gunnar Corey, and he’s off to the races for the touchdown before cutting the lead to 21-7. But Duxbury kept their foot on the gas with Festa rolling out, finding an opening, and taking it himself for the touchdown, leading Duxbury with a 28-7 score.

Still, in the 2nd quarter, Festa rolls out again, and Chris Walsh makes the diving catch for the touchdown 35-7 Dragons lead. Festa then rolls out, follows his blocking, and dives in for the long touchdown, with Duxbury now at 42-7 at halftime.

3rd quarter starts, and the Dragons start driving, with Festa handing it off to senior James Anderson, who takes it in for the touchdown. Duxbury racks up a few more points with a 49-7 score.

4th quarter starts, and Harbormen is driving. Will Griffin comes in with a nice run for the touchdown, no quit in the Harbormen. Chris Walsh comes in to ensure the drive before he’s picked off by Zach Griffin. Griffin takes it down to the 3rd-yard line. For the very next play, Griffin is in for another touchdown, landing a final 49-20 score and an impressive win for Duxbury.

We will see how things shake up this weekend, but they could be in the Boston 25 top 10 next week after that performance.
