20-year-old man shot and killed at Brockton motel, DA says

BROCKTON, Mass. — A 20-year-old man was shot and killed at the Super 8 Motel in Brockton on Friday night, the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office said in a statement.

Brockton Police responded to the Super 8 motel on Westgate Drive around 6:21 p.m. Friday, after police received several 911 calls for reports of shots fired at the motel.

When emergency crews arrived, they found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was sent by ambulance to the Good Samaritan Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead, the DA’s office said.

Brockton Police detectives and detectives assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office are investigating the incident as a homicide.
