Hundreds line up to get new iPhone

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) - iPhone enthusiasts are camping out in front of the Apple Store on Boylston Street to get their hands on the newest model.

"It's been a long night. been here since about midnight. It's been cold, but we're hanging in there," said Jake Giuffrida.

The store doesn't open until 8 a.m., but several hundred people were already camped out by 4:30 a.m. Friday.

All over the world people have been waiting for hours to get their new iPhone 6s; analysts expect 10 to 12 million phones to fly off the shelves Friday morning all over the world.

"I'm never surprised to see the excitement on iPhone Friday - it's kind of a holiday in the wireless industry," said an Apple employee.

One place people are not lining up however is New Hampshire. Apple banned walk-in sales of the new phone in states that don't have sales tax. Those who want tin in New Hampshire and aren't willing to drive to another state have to order it online.

The new phone isn't a huge upgrade because Apple only releases a new model every other year. The 6s improves on some of the features from the 6. The new features include:

- Higher quality front-facing camera
- Display technology that responds according to how hard users press screen
- Stronger glass
- Rose gold color

The price tag is $649, without a mobile phone contract.
