BOSTON — A westbound Green Line trolley derailed as it entered Park Street station Friday morning, according to the MBTA.
More than 200 passengers on the trolley had to be evacuated and some walked down the tunnel to Park Street just after 9 a.m. The first car had reached the platform, while the second car was a short distance away.
No injuries were reported, but Green Line service was suspended between Haymarket and Park Street, causing severe delays to the Green Line. Service resumed just before 1 p.m. Friday afternoon.
The cause of the derailment is under investigation.
