WELLFLEET, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) - A great white shark washed ashore on a Cape Cod beach Sunday.
It happened on white crest beach in Wellfleet.
Beach-goers tried to keep water on the shark to help keep it alive until rescuers arrived.
The Atlantic White Shark Conservancy said they’re not sure why the shark was beached.
The shark did not survive despite all the effort of the makeshift rescue team.
