MENDON, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- The State Fire Marshal said he believes a fire that killed a man and his dog in Mendon was intentionally set.
The fire started at about 4:45 Friday evening at 9 Sandra Cir., according to State Fire Marshal Steven Coan.
The man who was killed lived inside the home, along with his dog.
“The house was up in flames, it was really remarkable,” Dick Nichols, a neighbor, said. “It was higher than the house and really bright.”
Coan said at this time they are not searching for any suspects and they do not believe there is any danger to the public.
