Fire damages house in Shrewsbury

SHREWSBURY, Mass. — A fire that heavily damaged a house in Shrewsbury started in the kitchen, fire officials said.

No injuries were reported.

Firefighters responded to a house on Rawson Hill Drive around 2:30 p.m. Monday after receiving reports of a fire at that location.

When crews arrived, they found heavy fire conditions and smoke billowing out of the white, single-family house.

Northborough, Westborough and Boylston provided mutual aid.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
