BOSTON — If you have been hearing low flying helicopters over Boston the last few nights, you are not alone.
Boston 25 News has been receiving several calls about the helicopters and has been seeing posts on social media.

The FAA said, "it's an authorized operation."
The Braintree Police released a community advisory about the training, saying it included the Defense Department and local and federal law enforcement. Their bulletin said it would go through July 21, 2017, and it was "not in response to any world events."

Viewers spotted some of the Black Hawk helicopters flying low over Franklin Wednesday afternoon.
Last summer there were similar helicopters flying over the city in August. At that time, the Boston Police Department said it was a planned training exercise with the Defense Department.
