YARMOUTH, Mass. — The Yarmouth Police Department has a brand new camera system, thanks to the Cape Cod community and people across the country.
Yarmouth Police unveiled the new K-9 equipment Monday, which can give officers the same perspective as their dogs once they're sent into a potentially dangerous situation.
This comes two months after Sgt. Sean Gannon was killed while executing an arrest warrant and his K-9 Nero was seriously injured.

The camera attaches to an Army green bulletproof vest embroidered with "In Honor of Sean Gannon."
The camera can transmit images through concrete from up to 1,000-feet away an with infrared capabilities - it can work in pitch black.
It's also been military tested so the department says it can handle many different situations.
