CHELSEA, Mass. — Newly released surveillance video shows a pickup truck apparently clip the vehicle that crashed into a Chelsea building Wednesday.
Three people were taken to hospitals after the incident. Video from the incident shows a car fly by an open garage door and slam into a steel beam, an impact so hard the car bounces back and hits a Jeep, causing it to bounce.
Chief Bryan Kyes told Boston 25 News Wednesday afternoon a 44-year-old woman was driving the car and suffered minor injuries. Kyes said an 8-year-old boy and 12-year-old girl were also in the car.
Chief Kyes said via Twitter Thursday, police are checking city surveillance cameras to find the pickup truck that appeared to hit the car before driving away.
"There's no skid marks, the impact was to a steel beam and the car is pretty broken up," Deputy Fire Chief Wayne Ulwick told Boston 25 News Wednesday.
