Man accused of dragging 2 officers in Dorchester in custody

BOSTON — A suspect is in custody after allegedly sending four officers to the hospital early Wednesday morning.

Police received a call around 12:30 a.m. about a person with a gun. Officers responded and stopped a car on Stoughton Street that matched the vehicle description given.

When officers asked the driver to get out, police say he slammed on the gas pedal, dragging two officers and narrowly missing two more.

The car, a silver Chevy with Connecticut plates, disappeared on Columbia Road.
