Boston officials discuss the possibility of hosting the 2024 summer Olympics

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Governor Deval Patrick and Mayor Marty Walsh are coming together for the first time to show support for an Olympic games in Boston.

Next week, Walsh and Patrick will meet with more than 30 Olympians and Paralympians from Massachusetts, including Stoneham native Nancy Kerrigan and Harvard women's hockey star A.J. Griswold.

Boston is in the final round of potential host cities for the 2024 summer games.

Next year, the U.S. Olympic Committee will decide whether or not they will pursue a bid against several international cities.

The host city will be chosen sometime in 2017.
