A look into a die-hard Red Sox fan's team memorabilia room

AMESBURY, Mass. — For Jim Deboisbriand, it all started with the Red Sox "dream team" in 1967.

"That's where it all started, in '67," said Deboisbriand. "Impossible dream. And I never forgot that."

Deboisbriand's shrine to the Red Sox includes all sorts of memorabilia, programs, pictures, posters, a ring, bobbleheads and bats, all covering the room from floor to ceiling.

"I said, 'Well, you know, I wanna start a new hobby,'" said Deboisbriand.

A devoted fan, you'd think Deboisbriand would remain loyal to the dream team of '67, but surprisingly, he says he considers this year's edition of the Red Sox as the best he's ever seen.

"They pulled out some unbelievable games, one run games, walk-offs, you gotta be kidding," said Deboisbriand.

Deboisbriand is predicting a quick series, saying the brooms are coming out as the Sox will win by a sweep.

"There's gonna be a sweep, the brooms are out," said Deboisbriand.

However, should we brace for the worst, Deboisbriand says he'll stick with the Sox through thick and thin.

"I'm right there to the bitter end," said Deboisbriand. "Win or lose, and that's a Red Sox fan."
