HADLEY, Mass. – Three people received medical treatment after being a man went on a stabbing spree on a bus in Hadley.
Police said the suspect, 26-year-old Brietta Brown, was riding a Pioneer Valley Transit Authority bus around 4 p.m. when he allegedly pulled out a knife and began attacking other passengers.
Two passengers were slashed across their necks but are expected to survive.
The bus driver also suffered cuts to his hands while subduing and disarming the suspect.
Police are calling the attack 'unprovoked,' and an investigation is underway.
Brown is charged with attempting to commit murder and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon among other charges.
