BURLINGTON, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A huge rash of car break-ins left dozens of car owners waking up to missing items in Burlington.
More than 20 vehicles were hit and detectives were able to make quick arrests after getting help from the community. The men admitted what they did. They walked around two neighborhoods just trying doors until they found ones that were open.
"I don't keep much in there but it's the thought of somebody going through your privacy," one resident said.
Police laid out everything they recovered. Money, credit cards, tools and car electronics to help them solve the case.
Officers arrested two men, 20-year-old Thomas Contrino of Woburn and 22 year-old Devin D'Auria of Burlington. They are looking to question the third man.
Police are working with all of the victims to return the stolen items that were recovered and residents seem more open to the idea of locking their car doors now.
