An 11-year-old was flown to the hospital with burn injuries after an incident with discarded coal in Harwich.
Harwich Police said the town's fire department responded to the Red River Beach around 10:45 p.m. on Saturday night.
The 11-year-old boy suffered burn injuries after stepping on hot sand that had been heated by discarded coal from cooking.

The child was flown by MedFlight to Massachusetts General Hospital, before being taken to Shriners Hospital for Children in Boston.
Police said there was no further information available on his condition.
