WORST OF WIND AND RAIN TONIGHT
The heaviest rain is moving through the region this evening and the strongest wind is not far behind. Watch out for roadside flooding and even some minor river flooding overnight. Peak gusts will reach about 50 mph across most of the area, but SE Mass will see gusts as high as 60 mph. Minor wind damage and isolated power outages will be hazards as a result.
Temperatures will drop as the sky clears through the early morning.
QUIETER REST OF WEEK
Tuesday will remain breezy and it will feel much colder. Expect temps to be in the mid 40s during the morning, but down to the 30s through most of the afternoon. It will be a partly to mostly sunny day, but the light will offer little relief from the return of chilly weather.
Wednesday will be the coldest day of the week with highs stuck in the upper 30s. The sun will be out though and will continue to shine into the later days of the week too. We’ll see a steady rebound in temps back to 40s and 50s through the remainder of the week. This puts us right around our average for this time of year, and the seasonable weather should continue into the weekend with the next chance for rain.
