Evan White

Evan is a general assignment reporter for Boston 25 News. Born in Boston and raised in Holliston, MA, Evan is proud to return to the same station where he worked as an intern while attending Emerson College over a decade ago! He joined Boston 25 News in July 2017.
Evan began his journalism career at WKTV in Utica, New York. He covered local and state politics including the prostitution scandal involving former Governor Eliot Spitzer.
Three years later, Evan left Utica for a reporter position at 13 WHAM News in Rochester, New York. While there, he broke the story about a mystery illness that affected the small town of Le Roy. The story went national shortly after. While in Rochester, he covered crime, courts, blizzards, the Buffalo Bills, and environmental issues such as hydraulic fracturing and water levels of the Great Lakes.
In 2014, Evan returned to New England as a general assignment and investigative reporter at WFSB in Connecticut. One of his investigations into loopholes in background checks for prospective school district employees directly led to a change in state law.
During his time in Connecticut, Evan was fortunate enough to be involved with countless community events and groups. He volunteered with Nutmeg Big Brothers Big Sisters, and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
When he’s not working, Evan enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife. He likes to read, cook, explore new places, and enjoy all of Boston’s incredible sports teams.
