BOSTON — The Red Sox have placed David Price on the injured list ahead of Monday's game against the Baltimore Orioles.

The left-handed pitcher will be on the 10-day injured list with tendinitis in his pitching elbow. The move is retroactive to May 3.

Ryan Weber, a right-handed pitcher, has been called up from the PawSox to fill out the 40-man roster.

Weber, 28, is in his 11th season -- signing with Boston in 2018 as a free agent. He has made 24 major league appearances.

Price has gone 1-2 with a 3.75 ERA in six starts for the Sox this season. He has allowed three runs or fewer in each of his last four outings.
