David Price not thinking about opting out

BOSTON — Red Sox pitcher David Price, who has the option to terminate his contract following this season, told FOX Sports he has not thought about opting out.

Price, who is 9-6 this year, has endured a rocky tenure in Boston since signing as a free agent before the 2016 season.

In an interview with FOX Sports' baseball reporter Jon Paul Morosi, said, “I want to win, I want to win here and I want to win now. We all know the amount of ability we have in this clubhouse ... I’m focused on winning right now. I haven’t thought about opting out.”

The Red Sox host Texas for a three-game series starting Monday night. Price isn't scheduled to start until Thursday's series opener against Toronto at Fenway Park.
