FOX25 Morning News Zip Trips To Norwood Friday, Aug. 5

NORWOOD, Mass. — FOX25 Morning News is on the road this summer for the 13 season of Zip Trips! Join us at the Norwood Town Common on Friday, August 5 from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. The FOX25 tradition puts the morning team in towns and cities across Massachusetts for a live broadcast. Each Zip Trip showcases the unique charm and appeal of a local community and tells the stories of its people and places. FOX25 Morning News has visited more than 214 cities and towns during the long-running Zip Trips.

“Summer is on at Zip Trips,” said FOX25 Morning News Anchor Gene Lavanchy. “The enthusiasm and energy the crowds bring make each Zip Trip the place to be on Fridays. We can’t wait to get back to Norwood and meet our loyal viewers, which is really the high point for me,” he added.

FOX25 Morning News anchors Gene Lavanchy, Meteorologist Shiri Spear and FOX25 Around Town Host Michele Lazcano will host the broadcast. Each Zip Trip gives residents “bragging rights” and a chance to share what makes their hometown a great place to live. Neighbors, residents and kids of all ages are invited to share their “Norwood Pride” and be part of FOX25’s live audience.

Interviews with newsmakers, special guests and local heroes will be featured. The popular “Taste of the Town” segment returns this year along with other favorite segments. Zip Trips are bigger and better than ever with the addition of an interactive kids zone and more crowd participation.
