WORCESTER, Mass. — Residents of Worcester can expect to see well-more than a foot of snow Tuesday, with the potential for hitting two feet in some areas.
The city is prepared; a parking ban went into effect at 2 a.m. Tuesday, schools and town offices are closed for the day, and 350 pieces of equipment were ready to roll early in the morning. Public transportation was also limited for the day; the Worcester Regional Transit Authority canceled all fixed route and van service due to the storm.
Reminder there will be no trash and recycling pickup today because of the storm. Everyone will be delayed by one day this week.

“March has always been known to dump us with a little extra before summer starts, right? So, I'm not mad at it. I get a day off from work, so I’m not complaining,” Worcester resident Liz Jaynes said.
Some residents are even using the storm to their advantage.
“I’m getting some snacks for tomorrow, I couldn't get the other day. The wife wouldn't let me,” Mark Dorsey said.
But not everyone is thrilled, including Jeremy Sosvielle who already started his spring preparations.
“We just took the plow off the truck for the garage we work at for the other day, we thought this was all done,” he said.
