BOSTON — A woman is outraged after she said someone stole her cell phone while she was having a seizure at the Mass Ave T Station.
Thirty-year-old Amanda McGarrity has had epilepsy for three years and is still learning how to live with it.
"As an epileptic, we can sense them about to occur,” she said.

On June 16, while by herself, McGarrity had a two minute grand mal seizure while inside the Mass Ave station. Instantly, several people rushed to help her, including one woman who pretended to help. McGarrity said that in reality, the woman stole her iPhone.
"I think it hurts more than makes me angry," she said.
McGarrity is thankful for all the people who helped her after she collapsed, but can't believe someone would sink so low to rob her.
"You're losing complete control, physical and mentally and when you're alone in public you're kind of leaving it up to humanity to take care of you in case anything happens,” she said.
McGarrity thinks she may have seen the woman before at the T station. Transit police do have surveillance video, but right now, they're not releasing it.
