EPPING, N.H. — A woman is in the hospital after spending more than 8 hours trapped inside a car after a rollover.
The crash happened around 10 p.m. Monday night on Route 27 near the Brentwood town line.
A passerby found the vehicle around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday when fire crews were called.
“She just bunkered down and hoped for the best... and figured at some point somebody would find her and they did, it took a lot longer than she probably expected,” Epping Fire Lt. Paul Hanley said.
The woman was taken to Portsmouth Regional Hospital for trauma and possible hypothermia.
“She was in pretty good spirits. She was about 70 years old, had a great attitude. Good sense of humor,” Hanley said.
