Woman killed after losing control of car, crashing into Medford LensCrafters

MEDFORD, Mass. — A woman was killed early Friday morning when she lost control of her vehicle and crashed into a Medford store, Massachusetts State Police said.

State police responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash into a Lens Crafter store at 4110 Mystic Valley Parkway just after 6 a.m., and when troopers arrive they found the car inside the building.

State police said it appeared as though the unidentified woman was headed west on Route 16 when she lost control went over the curb and crashed into the building. The woman, who was the only person in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation and the identity of the driver has not been released pending the notification of next of kin.

No other information has been released.
