WESTON, Mass. — Weston school officials are investigating after several posts on Snapchat that were "extremely offensive and racist."
Interim Superintendent Dr. Midge Connolly said the Snapchats began circulating late last week among students at the high school. Connolly said school officials are gathering information as well as evidence.
Because of the sensitive nature of the Snapchats, Weston High School Principal Mr. Parker and his administration have been meeting with students to provide support, as well as learn more about what happened.
After the investigation has concluded, Connolly said there will be steps taken to address what has happened, with the hope of healing some of the wounds.
