WESTMINSTER, Mass. — Westminster police shared a video on Facebook of a moose taking a stroll through a homeowner’s front yard.

Now police are warning people in the area, especially drivers, to stay alert.

The moose was spotted in the area of Route 2 on the Gardner side of town, and police said the animal and her calves have been seen walking along the road during the early morning hours.

Good evening. We wanted to share a video from one of our followers especially for those traveling in the area of State Rod West(Rt. 2a on the Gardner side of Town) This moose and their mom has been seen over the last several weeks walking around crossing the street early in the morning. It’s not uncommon for us to have these beautiful animals around town. Please use caution in the area. #westminsterMAPD #ibrakeformoose
