WAKEFIELD, Mass. — In a non-binding vote, residents from Wakefield said they want the school system to keep their Native American warrior logo that the school committee voted to retire back in March, a school committee member said.

The vote, which doesn’t have legal authority as it was non-binding, does not mean that Wakefield has to go forward with keeping the logo; the school committee will now determine whether or not it wants to vote on the measure again.
