BPD searching for people on surveillance near East Boston stabbing

EAST BOSTON — Boston Police are looking for people caught on surveillance video after a stabbing in East Boston.

Police released pictures of a man and two women who were in the vicinity of Medallo's Bar.

Officials responded to the area of 474 Saratoga St. in East Boston at 2 a.m. Sunday morning. When emergency crews arrived, they found a man suffering from an apparent stab wound to the chest.

That victim was rushed to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police say the people in the surveillance photos are not suspects, they are simply looking to identify them for information.

No arrests have been made. Boston Police are still investigating.

“It’s a hard situation, especially when something scary happens in your neighborhood, you may be concerned about your own safety but if it were up to me I’d want to live I a safer neighborhood, so if you know anything definitely come forward and say something," said Tom Ford, who lives nearby.
